Role Overview: We at Randstad are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Part-Time Academic Notetakers. As a Notetaker, you will play a crucial role in supporting disabled students by providing high-quality, accurate notes during lectures and academic sessions. This flexible role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students while maintaining a flexible work schedule.
**Responsibilities**:
- Attend lectures, seminars, and academic sessions at various universities across Birmingham.
- Take comprehensive and organised notes during classes, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Collaborate closely with disabled students to understand their specific note-taking requirements.
- Provide digital or handwritten notes promptly after each session, using the preferred format of the student.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students and university staff.
- Communicate with the disability support team to address any concerns or feedback related to note-taking assignments.
Qualifications:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent listening and note-taking abilities.
- Empathetic and patient attitude towards disabled students' needs.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- Proficient in using digital tools for note-taking (e.g., Microsoft OneNote, Google Docs).
- Prior experience in note-taking, tutoring, or working with disabled individuals is an advantage.
