The NHS Newborn Hearing Screening Programme (NHSP) aims to identify moderate, severe and profound hearing impairment in newborn babies. Early identification of hearing impairment gives children a better chance of developing speech and language skills, and of making the most of social and emotional interaction from an early age.
We are looking for a flexible and friendly individual with excellent communication skills. You will show initiative in your work within our small team covering a wide area of Somerset.
You will be performing hearing screening on newborn babies on maternity wards in Musgrove Park Hospital and Yeovil District Hospital. We also offer community out-patient clinics across Somerset as well as visiting families at home.
