£53,000 base salary + bonus + shares
Our client, a banking organisation organisation based in Camberley, Surrey, is looking for an IT Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
The role will be responsible for building a new banking platform and managing the technical project team to successfully deliver various technical components of the required build into production. You will work closely with the Head of IT and Programme Directorto deliver the Banks mobilisation plan and activities.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Build and develop the technical project team to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation
- Lead the technology aspects of the project from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, cost tracking and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
- To coordinate internal and external/third-party / vendors resources, ensuring the technology project remains within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments
- Prepare, provide, and present progress updates to appropriate management channels regularly, escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans
- Managing several project processes to make sure projects are rigorously controlled. This includes finance and resourcing, planning, risk management, scope control, benefits management and reporting.
- Provide risk & issues identification, assessment, and mitigation to senior management.
- Manage the risk/issues/action log.
**Other Activities, Duties and Responsibilities**
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
- Analyse project progress and, when necessary, advise on adapting scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that the project team adheres to project requirements
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution
- Determine and define project scope and objectives
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
