We are recruiting for a HSE Advisor with some Quality experience (SHEQ) to join a leading European manufacturer of machinery that supports the recycling of materials. The role is based in Alfreton with some work from home considered, is part time and available on an initial 12 month contract.

This role is offering a salary of £33,000 pro rata working 20-24 hours per week. The company is flexible regarding how these hours are worked

As HSE Advisor you will working in a stand alone role maintaining the company’s Health & Safety and Quality Management system to ensure ongoing compliance, including RAMS, site inspections/ investigations and compliance audits. You will have the following responsibilities:
Monitoring compliance on site with regards to the company, client, and legislative requirements.
Communicating through all levels of the business ensuring clear and accurate communication on all health and safety-related matters
Ensuring legislative compliance and promotion of continuous improvement of safety performance targets are met.
Investigating accidents and near misses and implementing corrective actions.
Ensuring consistent implementation of HSE standards.
Support all personnel to deliver their HSE responsibilities.
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
Previous experience in a HSE Advisor role or similar
Ideally NEBOSH qualified, however IOSH Managing Safely and working towards NEBOSH will be considered
An engineering/ manufacturing background is required
Good knowledge of HSE systems, legislation and accreditations
Ability to carry out internal audits
Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
