Hair Salon Assistant

We are a luxury hair and beauty salon based in Lewes near Brighton. Established for over 17 years, we are an Aveda and Loreal salon with a large and loyal clientele. We are currently looking for a fantastic full or part-time assistant to join our fun and friendly team.

Why come to work at Langtons?

We want our staff to have a good work/life balance so we only open one late night a week, until 7pm. We don't open Sundays and start at 10am on Mondays. We aim to make the salon a a warm and welcoming and enjoyable place to be, not only for our clients but for our staff too.

We want to pay our staff as much as possible which is why we offer a bonus and commission scheme for our assistants as well as for our stylists. We like to reward our staff in other ways - for instance we are closed the salon in October and took all our staff to Valencia, all expenses paid. Our staff's wellbeing is one of our top priorities.

Now the boring bit....

Main duites will be:

- Shampooing, conditioning and performing head massages on clients (training will be provided)
- Blowdries
- Assisting serving refreshments to clients & offering magazines and general client care
- Keeping the salon clean and tidy

We are a two minute walk from Lewes station which is only a 10 min train ride from Brighton. However the majority of our staff drive to work with plenty of parking opportunities close by.
