**Hours: 39 hours per week**
**Salary: £25,000-27,000**

To provide cleaning and supervision expertise to the local operational teams, ensure compliance with industry standards and best practice and support the specialist third party contractors. To support the ongoing development, training and continuous improvement of the operational workforce and service delivery.

**Job Details**
- Day to day management of relevant employees including conduct, performance, attendance and capability. Taking the necessary and appropriate actions to address any inappropriate behaviour or low standards, with support and advice from HR
- Ensure the contracts run safely and efficiently to the required standard, meeting all KPI'sand SLA's
- Enforce Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
- Support in the recruitment, motivation, development and retention of the best people
- Effectively support the development of staff and sub-contractor capabilities
- Achieve the highest standards of quality, service and presentation of the business
- Foster client relationships and develop a culture of trust and respect
- Attendance on HR related courses to ensure competence in dealing with people management responsibilities
- Monitor changes in legislation and support the dissemination into the operation / teams
- Regularly review the training and development needs of Individuals.
- Ensure company compliance with statutory regulations
- Observe and ensure all client compliance, standards and expectations are adheared to
- Liaise with client and provide cost effective solutions.
- Support the operations teams in control and management of specialist sub-contractors where necessary
- To understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on time
- To understand and comply with policies and procedures
- To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
- To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required

**What we are looking for**
- Supervisory experience preferred although training will be given
- IT Literate
- IOSH Managing Safely will be provided
- People management skills/ problem solving skills although training will be given
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to work on own and in team
- Ability to work to set schedules and on own initiative
- Flexibility essential in workload and possibly hours if needed
- Work both pro-actively and re-actively
- Undertake variety of tasks that are within this role, both internal and external
- Basic knowledge & understanding of health and safety policies
- Implementation of H&S policies and procedures
- Needs to represent Mitie values on site by being presentable, uniformed, affable and helpful at all times

- Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities;
- Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager;
- Report actual and suspected security incidents;
