**Murphy Utilities Ltd provide utility infrastructure services across the Yorkshire region working in partnership with a small number of companies whilst also undertaking private works on a smaller scale. Established in 2011, the company has seen rapid growth in the past two years, expanding current contracts through consistent service delivery, which has led to expansion into new geographic areas. We are now recruiting for a Driver/Barrier Person to join our team.**

**Role: Driver/Barrier Person.**

**Reports to: Supervisor**

**Rate of Pay: Negotiable dependent on experience.**

**Hours of work: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm.**

**Role Summary (Key Functions)**:
We require an enthusiastic individual with the ability to work independently to be a Driver/Barrier Person working across our contracts. You will perform a key support function for our operatives supplying them with equipment and materials as required to help complete works. A varied role which is physically demanding and involves a significant amount of travel.

**Typical Activities/Responsibilities will include**:

- Providing materials and equipment to our operatives as required across the Yorkshire region.
- Towing plant and equipment to sites.
- Supporting in completion of jobs, tidying sites as required.
- Ability to work accurately and independently is essential and holding a high regard for safety, of both yourself and your surroundings at all times is imperative.
- Whilst working on site ensure that the mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), boots, high-viz orange trousers, or overalls, high-viz vest or jacket, hard hat, safety glasses and gloves for identified tasks and substances is worn.
- Loading materials onto vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Undertake additional duties as required, commensurate with the level of the job.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- **A full and clean driving license with B+E experience/previous certification.**:

- A good understanding and experience of the Utility industry is preferred but not essential.
- NRSWA qualification preferred but not essential.
- Awareness of health and safety.
- Physically demanding role and will involve working outdoors in all weather conditions.
