**About the store**

Specsavers Formby first opened its doors in 2004. The store has an excellent established reputation and is firmly embedded within the local community.

Formby colleagues pride themselves in ensuring that every one of their customers receives an excellent patient experience. The high levels of service and patient care have led to numerous positive customer reviews and an have earned them a 4.5 out of 5 stars online.

The store is situated on a busy high street in the town centre and has 2 dedicated optical test rooms, all fully equipped with the latest clinical technology, meaning you will have everything you need to perform sight tests to the highest possible standards.

A team of dedicated and passionate retail colleagues call this store home. This includes a Store Manager, Assistant Manager, three full time OA’s and two part time OA’s. As the new Retail Director, you would have the scope to advise on training requirements, introduce new specialisms and build/shape the team further as required.

**Store location**

The store is a coastal town situated in one of the most affluent areas of Merseyside. Formby boasts a beautiful sandy beach, dramatic, sweeping sand dunes, pine forests and grasslands. The area is home to a National Trust reserve and is a popular tourist destination during the summer months. With excellent transport links, including a mainline railway station within a 5-minute walking distance and many bus routes which arrive in the town centre. It is also a short drive to Southport and takes less than 40 minutes to the centre of Liverpool. There is a large pay and display car park situated behind the store making it easy for both staff and customers to access (discount passes available to staff).

**Requirements of the role**

Alongside being an experienced retailer with experience in Optics, the right person for this position will be confident, possess a strong worth ethic and a willingness to succeed. You’ll be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced environment. You’ll be willing to go the extra mile for customers and someone who encourages their team to do the same.
