**ABOUT THE JOB.**

We are looking for General Operatives to join our #WeAreMcCain family.

It’s the job of our ‘Gen Ops’ to provide day to day assistance and support to all routine and non-routine activities ensuring company standards are met at all times.

As a key member of the Manufacturing Team, you will work together with Shift Area Managers to also
- Collect and dispose of all waste materials.
- Pack cartons of finished product into cases, according to product specifications. Inspect filled cartons for foreign bodies and raise any non-compliances immediately.
- Carries out carton check weighing according to company procedure, completing any relevant documentation where necessary
- Operates carton erector, loading flat packed cartons onto the magazine feed, ensuring manual handling and health and safety practices are followed at all times
- Within inspection, monitors finished product going to packing to remove and report and foreign bodies found.

**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**

We're looking for someone with experience of working within food manufacturing in a similar role, and knowledge of the Health and Safety requirements within FMCG. You'll be a confident and assertive communicator at all levels, with excellent time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task. It will also be desirable to have knowledge of...

**WHERE YOU’LL WORK?**

You’ll be based at our Grantham plant in Lincolnshire along with a team of approx. 110 other colleagues. You might not know, but here at McCain we also produce a range of fries called ‘Fries to Go’ - they’re made from mashed potato, are encased in their own special crisping compartment, and can be cooked in a microwave in just over 2 minutes - we are all about convenience at McCain
