**Purpose of your role**
- The purpose of your role is to provide a support service to the Marina Managers, operatives and administration staff and concierge service to berth holders and tenants.
- You are required to attend work with a positive attitude, a smile on your face and be smart and ready to assist customers and staff at all times.
- You are expected to demonstrate exceptionally high standards of service, acting in a timely and polite manner to customer requests.
- You are expected to use MDL’s service language and engage with customers politely.
- This role is primarily outdoors, you are required to be visible and walk the marina pontoons and estate areas assisting customers where needed.

**Prime Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- To be a conduit for all customer queries; passing to the central administration team or Marina Manager promptly and efficiently. To assist with front of house administration functions to support the central administration team where necessary. This will include taking payments for services and issuing receipts and invoices.
- To answer the office telephone, greet customers and assist with serving in the marina office, always ensuring the highest standard of customer service.
- Checking car parks and drop off points. Clean, tidy, signage all ok, trolleys available.
- Welcoming visitors to the marina by road, at times at the marina entrance handing out site information and assisting with car parking. You will also be expected to welcome customers arriving by boat. All visiting vessels are moored in agreed locations, met on arrival and lines taken.
- You will be expected to prepare the marina (where applicable to your shift) for each day including re stocking of leaflet carousels, cleaning and tidying of offices and desks, fuel berth kiosks and the wiping down of windows and signs.
- You will be expected to clean signage and other equipment around the marina during periods of lower customer activity.
- Where trained to do so, you may be expected to greet customers in the marina work boat at busy times. You may also, where trained, be expected to correspond with customers on the VHF radio, at all times you are expected to be clear, concise and confident.
- Provide a trolley service with assistance to and from vessel when requested. Assist with baggage and luggage and return trolleys to the trolley station. You must be proactive at all times in this regard.
- Wiping down surfaces around sinks and mopping floors in facility blocks 4 times per day and once an hour at peak times, handing out towels at the facility blocks where appropriate / provided.
- To assist with customer events and other customer focused incentives.
- Assist with collecting refuge from customers boats as required, clearing rubbish from the marina basins where applicable.
- To assist with serving fuel when required.
- Checking car park passes, collecting visitor payments and allocating visitor berths
- Be the face of the marina, lodge/caravan park, through walking around and being present, escorting to lodge or caravan, replenish lodge and caravan park as needed (where applicable).
- To establish a good working relationship with staff, tenants and customers, which is based on trust and efficiency.
- To ensure compliance with marina regulations by site users as necessary.
- To ensure the Marina Manager is aware of any concerns you may have within your scope of responsibility.
- To carry out other specific tasks or any other work reasonably requested by the management team in connection with the Company’s business.
- To ensure all legal, HSE and company policies including financial are being adhered to.

**Working Relationships**:

- Internal - Working with marina team members and other MDL departments to achieve site objectives, whilst complying with all company policies and procedures.
- External - Customers, Tenants, Suppliers and Contractors. Coastguard, other emergency services and various statutory bodies and organisations.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour
