The MotoNovo Finance First Line Financial Crime Team is responsible for investigating potential fraudulent and money laundering incidents, suspicions and alerts across, taking appropriate action in order to prevent criminal funds being laundered through the business.

The role of Financial Crime Investigator is really important to us. You will investigate any potential tax evasion offences committed by our customers or third parties giving advice and support to other business areas when queries are raised

This role will be based in our Cardiff office however, you will be able to work a blend of both home and office each week. You’ll be made to feel part of your new team by your Line Manager, and colleagues through regular contact and virtual interaction. You will report into the Fraud and AML Manager, who will be your line manager and responsible for things like performance review meetings, 1-1s and development conversations.

Please note this role includes alternative weekend shifts.

**What would your day look like?**
- Liaise with the Dealer Assurance team to complete investigations of any potential fraud via Broker or Dealer partners
- Compile detailed evidence packs and witness statements, submitting and presenting exhibits to NaVCIS and law Enforcement. Attending court if required in criminal and civil prosecutions
- Completing outbound customer interviews, analysing the answers in order to minimise fraud risk, financial loss and regulatory breaches
- Accurately investigate and record fraud referrals from other business areas
- Complete customer screening reviews via Hunter for Customer Due Diligence (CDD) purposes

- Experience in a financial crime prevention role
- Confident and experienced in financial services
- Knowledge of relevant finance regulation and legislation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

**Desirable**
- Knowledge of Hunter and CIFAS
- ICA Financial Crime or AML Certificate
