The UK has set out its ambition to be net zero by 2050 and the energy industry is responding - together we are building a cleaner, greener Britain.

As a Connections Customer & Stakeholder Lead, you will be based within the Electricity Customer Connections Team at ESO that manages the connection of generation and demand to Great Britain’s high voltage electricity network. You will operate as part of a smaller sub team (of 4-6 people) and part of a wider and growing Connections Team of circa 90 people across Warwick and Wokingham.
You’ll be at the forefront of helping Great Britain transition rapidly towards a zero carbon future that can deliver our climate change goals.
You will be an important member of a team responsible for designing a new and reformed end to end process for managing connections and you will also work closely with the team carrying out tactical nearer-term changes to the connections process.

These changes and new processes will significantly speed up and improve the current arrangements that are no longer fit for purpose given the pace at which we need to transform our energy system.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering our engagement with key internal and external stakeholders and directly with customers, to ensure they are informed and able to contribute efficiently into the design and delivery of new connections processes.
You will work collaboratively with other teams across ESO and with industry and other key stakeholders to make this happen.

This role is based at our Warwick office which has free onsite parking, and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home.
Leveraging this hybrid working, this team current work typically 1 day per week in the office, which is dependent on personal and business needs.

**About You**:

You’ll likely demonstrate expertise in Stakeholder Management, Communications and Project Management.
Energy industry experience isn’t essential, but what may be useful is an appreciation of working within a regulated or semi regulated larger company environment. What is crucial is a real passion for the UK’s energy transition and the benefits this should bring.
You are likely to be a real problem solver, with demonstrable experience of linking in with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
You’ll be able to plan and manage projects through to success, providing direction and guidance to others in the team, and keeping your stakeholders informed and engaged at every step.

**What You'll Do**:
You’ll develop and maintain the stakeholder and customer engagement strategy for the connections reform project and the tactical nearer-term changes to the connections process.
Leading on planning and implementing external stakeholder engagement on the connections reform project and the tactical nearer-term changes to the connections process; and steer internal stakeholder engagement.

Developing and managing project plans and other planning and reporting tools as appropriate to the role, you’ll engage directly with customers and internal and external stakeholders to ensure they are informed and able to contribute efficiently into the design and delivery of the new connections processes, including planning and running various forms of internal and external communication and engagement (written and verbal, meetings and seminars/webinars etc)

**What You'll Get**:
**A competitive salary between £56,000 - £66,000 dependent on capability.**
