Cleaner 10am

Sussex Grange is a family run business which has been providing high quality support at our care home in Selsey since 2003.

We are looking for a caring, dedicated, enthusiastic and reliable housekeeper. You and your colleagues will work as a team to provide the highest possible levels of infection control around the Care Home.

**Working hours and salary**

2 Week rolling rota with alternate weekend work:
Week 1 - Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

Week 2 - Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday

Shifts available - 10am
- 2pm (with some flexibility on time)

Flexibility to cover absence and leave is essential to meet the needs of the Care Home

**What your typical day involves**
- You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the home, working closely with our other housekeeping and maintenance staff
- There will be an expectation for you to review, adapt and organise cleaning schedules working as a team
- Ensure our residents are kept happy, you’ll engage with them and support their personal preferences on cleaning
- You will work as a team to review and report quality throughout the home, this may include supporting with annual (or sooner) inspections of furniture and equipment in line with IPC standards
- You will carry out carry out basic cleaning tasks such a polishing, vacuum, mop floors, clean bathrooms, general tidying up and putting away. This applies to residents’ personal rooms, communal areas and offices.
- You may be asked to help with deep cleans and sorting of areas within the home
- You will be expected promote a homely feel to the Care Home which may include watering and nurturing plants and arranging welcoming displays
- You’ll maintain housekeeping stocks and arrangement for products for day to day use and produce weekly shopping lists for the Manager
- Spare time may be used to assist with laundry tasks

**Who we’re looking for**

You will be comfortable multitasking and where necessary, working with other teams to ensure our residents are kept happy in their home.

Ideally you will have some awareness around Infection Prevention Control (IPC) and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) as well as basic Moving and Handling but full training will be required and provided.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 12 per week

**Salary**: £10.86-£13.04 per hour
