**Accounts Assistant - £25,000 - £27,000 Per Annum - Norwich - Full Time/Part Time/Flexible Working To Be Discussed On Application**

**Reed Accountancy and Finance** are proud to be working with a specialist leading wholesale company in the Norwich area seeking an **Accounts Assistant**to join their accounts team.

As part of a small but dedicated team, the **Accounts Assistant** will work closely with the Head of Finance to ensure all related tasks are effectively completed which will in turn contribute towards the efficiency of this well-established firm.

The **Accounts Assistant** position itself entails the following in summary:
**Main Responsibilities**

**Sales & Income Reconciliations**
- Assist with the day-to-day reconciliations.

**Purchase Ledger**
- Enter supplier invoices and reconcile statements
- Oversee the finance inbox, uploading invoices together with managing internal and external queries.

**Monthly Accounts Duties**
- Assist with the month end accounting journals including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation
- Oversee and manage the Fixed Asset Register
- Review the monthly accounts with the Head of Finance and provide explanations for variances to budget.
- Assist the Head of Finance with Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Processing of monthly staff expenses

**VAT**
- Prepare, review and reconcile the quarterly vat return

**Survey and Data collections**
- Complete and submit data surveys as required by the Office for National Statistics

**Budget Preparation**
- Assist the Head of Finance with budget analysis and forecasting

**Ad hoc duties**
- Preparing adhoc analysis for businesses requirements
- Assisting the Head of Finance with implementing new financial procedures and controls

**Personal Attributes and Experience**

Technical attributes considered for the role
- At least 2 years’ practical experience within a similar finance role
- Familiarity with undertaking Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Xero Software knowledge desirable but not essential
- Experience of producing monthly accounts journals
- AAT or equivalent accounting qualification desirable but not essential

- Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask.

**Hours, Benefits and Salary Offered**
- £25,000 - £27,000 per annum
- 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, flexible hours and working pattern to be discussed
