As a Waste Operative you will be responsible for the removal of all kitchen rubbish using a tractor and trailer around the National Exhibition Centre campus. You will also be processing of waste from exhibitions/shows using compactors and waste skips, ensuringclient satisfaction and customer excellence is achieved and services are delivered to agreed standards.
**Main Duties**:

- Processing of waste delivered by build up/break down operatives using compactor equipment.
- Collection of waste from kitchen areas using a tractor to tow bins back to the compactor area for processing.
- Collection of wheelie bins from the kitchen areas using a tractor and trailer and delivery to waste pre-treatment centre for processing.
- Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times
- Euro bins to be emptied and returned to kitchen areas, this is a continuous operation throughout the day.
- Responsible for Health & Safety for yourself and others who may be affected by your actions.
- Ensure that you have received the necessary training so that you can competently carry out duties & responsibilities.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that the plant and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose.

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:
**Experience**
- Previous cleaning experience desirable
- Machine experience desirable (compactor operation, forklift)
