Battersea Spanish is a vibrant and highly popular Spanish and Latin American cultural centre in South London. We are looking for a Spanish speaking Centre Coordinator to work Thursday and Friday evenings and Saturday mornings, with some opportunities for overtime.

**Job Summary**

Centre Coordinators are responsible for opening and locking the premises, greeting students and teachers and ensuring we consistently deliver excellent levels of customer service.

They are responsible for making sure that the facilities are prepared suitably for the courses, as well as on-the-day troubleshooting and general administrative activities.

Additionally, Centre Coordinators are expected to help out on the bar at our onsite Tapas Bar during busy times.

**Main Responsibilities**

**1/ Coordinating Training Centre resources and facilities**
- Image, tidiness and cleanliness
- Multimedia, AV/IT equipment
- Fault reporting and ensuring compliance with HSE policies
- Overseeing post and deliveries
- Opening and locking up the Centre

**2/ Front of house**
- Greeting students and directing them to the rooms
- Liaising with teachers
- Ordering relevant course materials and stationery
- Maintaining accuracy of in-house databases and client websites
- Coordinating events such as film night, quiz night and conversation night

**Qualifications and Skills**

**Essential**
- Excellent spoken and written English and Spanish
- At least 2 years’ experience in a customer-facing role
- Good problem-solving skills
- High-level organisational, administrative and IT skills
- High-level social and interpersonal skills
- Practical, hands-on approach

**Desirable**
- Experience managing courses, and cultural, artistic or social events

**T&Cs**

Zero hours

Working hours - 12-16 hours per week

Schedule:
Thursdays and Fridays 5:30-9:30pm

Saturdays 9am-1pm

occassional Mondays 5:30-9:30pm

Location - South London (on-site only - no remote working)

Holiday - 25 days + bank hols (pro rata)

Hourly rate - £14 per hour

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 12 - 16 per week
