**The Role**:
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Trade Counter Manager with a plumbing and heating

background, based at our newly established Chelmsford store. The role would ideally suit a

next career move. You will be committed to deliver the highest level of professionalism, customer

service and interpersonal skills.

You will be responsible for managing the day-today running of the Counter, drive local sales and

business development.

**Duties - Position will include but are not limited to**:
Consistently generate profitable sales for the branch using a range of techniques and resources whilst overseeing the Company's Trade Counter and associated sales activity.

Act in a professional manner as the face of the Company, dealing with all customers promptly and efficiently.

Represent the Company and its products and offer solutions to customer problems and maximise sales.

Competent at handling customer enquiries both face to face and on the telephone.

Excellent customer service and able to build rapport and drive sales.

Confident to give technical advice and support where necessary.

Excellent telephone manner in order to increase sales from current customers and to acquire

business from new customers.

Must be highly driven and motivated to succeed in order to increase company growth.

Ability to motivate others within the team to build a rewarding and profitable hub.

Effectively manage stock display in trade counter exposing the customer to a wide range of stock and impulse products, new stock ranges and any value-added services as is practical within the Sales Counter.

Maintain a clean and tidy environment that is always well presented creating an environment to positively influence the Sales Counter performance.

Actively promote participation in local promotions and incentives to contribute to sales.

Build and maintain successful partnerships with customers and focus on the achievement of long-term customer loyalty.

**Responsibilities**:
Handle enquiries.

Liaise with customers according to their budget.

Maintain our brand image to the highest standard.

Be prepared to offer solutions to customers problems.

Manage and oversee team members.

Liaise with couriers regarding customers' orders.

Recognise customer expectations.

Understand the Company's products.

Be prepared to take initiative to achieve deadlines.

**Required**:
Minimum 3 years' Sales Merchant & Creative Merchandising experience.

A dynamic self-starter, with both proactive and reactive initiatives.

Self-motivated and independently sales driven.

Store based, your outlook must be Pivotal, Flexible, Punctual and Reliable.

Expert at building rapport and creating trusted relationships.

Initiate marketing and brand promotion campaigns.

Strong numeracy skills and a solid understanding of Sales, Profitability and Margins.

Management experience / trade counter.

Excellent customer service.

Intermediate IT skills (Outlook. Excel etc).

**Experience**:
Sales: 3 years (preferred)

Supervising experience: 1 year (preferred)

Merchandising: 3 years (preferred)

Customer service: 5 years (preferred)

Retail management: 3 years (preferred)

Management: 3 years (preferred)

**Desired**:
Plumbing knowledge considered an advantage.

Comprehensive knowledge of Drainage and Civils experience would be desirable.

Ability to embrace new technologies.

**Additional benefits**:
