We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Surveying to join our team within Vistry Housebuilding Cotswolds, at our Bishops Cleeve office in Cheltenham. You will manage and co-ordinate a well established Surveying team to ensure the smooth operation ofthe Surveying function and the delivery of annual plans and forecasts. Reporting into the regions Commercial Director, you will be responsible for the cost control of projects throughout the construction process, including procurement and payment of subcontractorsin line with budget and programme requirements.

- A minimum of 10 years' experience working within a residential house builder
- Experience or people management and project leading
- A good knowledge or construction methods and materials
- A good understanding or building regulations and legal obligations
- Strong Analytical skills

- Excellent communications skills
- Able to work under pressure, and accept criticism of work
- Good team working skills
- Accurate with an eye for detail

- Liaise with your Head Estimator and Head Buying piers to drive continual improvement and best practice within the department.
- Liaises with all Departments in matters relating to the effective administration of site development schemes.
- Maintain open lines of communication with colleagues in other regions.
- Attend Group Best practice meetings to share & gain knowledge.
