**Band 6 Safeguarding Advisor: within the Safeguarding Service**

The is a permanent, part time post of 22.5 hours per week

Preferred working pattern: Tue, Wed and Thu, 9-5pm

Applications are invited from people who have experience and evidence of working with children and families, with knowledge around safeguarding children and adults.

You will support the Safeguarding Children team with advice line duties which includes the triage and attendance at strategy meetings.

You will be asked to contribute to reports and support the team in delivering the safeguarding agenda.

We are looking for someone who understands the legal frameworks which underpin safeguarding, along with knowledge and experience of local and national safeguarding procedures.

This is an excellent opportunity for anybody with a keen interest in safeguarding children to further develop knowledge and skills in this specialist area.

You will work collaboratively with the safeguarding adults and children's team to deliver the Think Family agenda within DCHS.
