Clinical Support Worker

The post holder will work with the breast care nursing team to ensure the smooth running of breast clinics held in the Helen Clark Suite and Beauchamp Suite. These clinics will be nurse led and medical breast clinics.
The post holder will ensure clinical stock levels are maintained and assist where needed in clinic. Responsibilities include undertaking photography clinics and prosthesis fitting clinics in conjunction with the other job sharer to ensure there is cover from Monday to Friday.
The post holder works under the indirect supervision of the Clinical Nurse
Specialist and undertakes tasks and duties delegated by them, providing and
maintaining a high standard of patient care. The post holder will work
collaboratively with the Breast Care Team and other multi-professional staff to meet the needs of patients following Trust policy and procedures.

Communication

As a member of the breast care nursing team, under indirect supervision
of the Clinical Nurse Specialist undertake simple dressings using aseptic
technique

after patient care interventions
Assist in raising awareness of health and well-being, and how it can be
promoted e.g. breast awareness/breast screening
Give accurate and appropriate information to patients and groups within
own competence
Coordinate patient fitting clinics for patients requiring fitting/refitting with
breast prosthesis and ordering re
