Reporting directly to the Transport Manager, you will be working in the transport department helping to ensure the department runs efficiently.

The Transport department takes ownership of all finished goods on site and ensures they are despatched on time and correctly whether that be direct to the customer or to one of several cold storage facilities.

Working in the food industry, no two days are the same and although there is flexibility around start and end times although you must be able to work 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. You must also be able to work full time to cover holidays and sickness.

Your main duties include:

- Booking relevant transport for finished goods for collection and final delivery.
- Liaising with hauliers to ensure timely collection of goods and delivery of stock.
- Liaising with customers to resolve any issues with deliveries or stock issues.
- Processing customer orders onto the Sage system and using Sage to ensure stock movements from site to site and to customer is completed correctly.
- Ensuing batch code traceability on the Sage system.
- Ordering and processing chep pallets.
- Updating weekly service level figures.
- Troubleshooting issues with hauliers, late or no show collections.
