Machinist - Grinder

If you are a Machinist with Grinder experience then we have a opportunity for you to join the leading Helicopter Manufacture in Yeovil on a ongoing temporary contract.**This is a great opportunity to join the Transmissions department as a Machinist.**The skilled machinist role includes but not restricted to, the following duties:

- Programming setting and operating a variety of machine tools
- Problem solving machining issues with minimum supervision
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings / sketches
- Carry out routine daily checks on all equipment and checking batches prior to approval
- Being flexible to move between machine groups when required

**For you to be considered for this position you do need to be able to provide proof (certificates) of the following qualifications**:

- Completion of an apprenticeship in a related discipline and City & Guilds level 1 & 2 in a relevant discipline (pre-1990)
- Completion of an apprenticeship in a related discipline plus NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline and an additional academic element such as City & Guilds OR BTEC level 3 OR ONC, OND, HNC, HND.
- Forces discharge papers where applicable (minimum AEM/AET - Royal Navy, Corporal - RAF or Army)
This position is working a double day shift pattern as follows:
Early - Monday - Thursday 6.00 - 14.00 Friday 6.00 - 12.00
Lates - Monday - Thursday 14.00 - 22.00 Friday 12.00 - 18.00
Pay rates:
PAYE £20.24/hr; Umbrella £27.31/hr.Overtime is paid at enhanced rates if available.
