Aspire People are looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistants for a lovely school based in DE23, Littleover. This is a full time position starting in the new academic year.

We are currently looking for a KS1 teaching assistant that can support teachers by helping to supervise activities in the classroom, working with children on an individual, small group or whole class basis. There will be some days where you will be working 1-1 with children who need the extra support.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Supporting children across the curriculum, often with a particular focus on maths, reading and writing
- Providing support with Phonics and being confident to support them workers.
- Giving extra help to children with special needs or those for whom English is not their first language

helping to develop programs of learning activities and adapting appropriate materials motivating and encouraging pupils
- Assisting with marking and correcting work attending meetings and reviews helping with school events, trips and activities

What you will need to have to be considered for the role?
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or Equivalent
- Previous experience working in a KS1 classroom
- DBS on the online update service
- Details of 2 referees we can approach in the last 2 years
