**All applicants must be 18+**

1. Prepare and serve beverages, toast and continental breakfasts to ward patients.

2. Distribute and collect patient’s menu cards, ensuring these are validated by nursing staff to ensure specific patient dietary needs are met.

3. Regenerate chilled meals in readiness for lunch and dinner patient meal services, ensuring food temperatures are monitored and recorded in line with food hygiene legislation.

4. Present patient meals for service by nursing staff adhering to portion control.

5. Collect and wash patient water jugs and refill and distribute these to patients.

6. Monitor and record wastage of patient meals.

7. Distribute to and collect meal satisfaction surveys from patients.

8. Prepare and serve patients with snacks and beverages between meal services.

9. Collect, wash and store crockery and cutlery used during patient meal services.

10. Maintain the cleanliness of ward kitchens including all fixtures and equipment and report any faults to line manager.

11. Monitor and record fridge temperatures in line with food hygiene legislation.

12. Order and receive catering and cleaning products and store them safely and in date rotation.

13. Demonstrate duties to new or less experienced Hosts as delegated by the Patient Hospitality Manager or their nominated deputy.

**Working 5 days over 7 weekends included. AM and PM shifts available.
