**Role**
- Provide professional guidance to your team whole design process f rom initial involvement with Applications through to support f or the Service Department f or the projects in your portfolio.
- For projects in your portfolio working with the Engineering Managers provide technical risk mitigation plans to minimise the technical risk of delivery through the whole lif e of a project, f rom concept to Service involvement, with respect of safety, functionality, environment, cost, machine life, reliability, through the adoption of proven methods.
- Assist your design teams to always design machines to have an operating window within the target required by Commissioning and the Customers requirements.
- Provide clear instructions and ‘how-to’ aligned to Mpac’s SOP’s, Templates, WI and Handbooks, and advise where needed additional are developed or enhanced.
- Manage the delivery plans aligned with Project requirements f rom initial sales order.
- Working with your team assign roles and responsibilities f or project leads f or the mechanical f unction making sure to prioritise the needs of electrical and software functions to a successful delivery.
- Working with the Engineering Managers guidance f or the teams to deliver safe, fit f or purpose, maintainable, reliable, sustainable, fully integrated electro-mechanical modules and machines, balancing the technical risks with agreement the EC&I manager and the Mpac Specialist Engineers.
- Provide the Engineering Delivery with the correct dates, metrics and support to allow f or accurate documentation planning and delivery.
- Guide your Design teams to maximise proven technology, reducing project specific bespoke designs to a minimum.
- Support the Apps and Mechanical Design managers with accurate estimates f or Mechanical design and support Engineering delivery with accurate assessment of the level of documentation required for build..
- Working with the Mechanical Design manager and Project lead engineers to efficiently plan projects through the business f rom Sales enquiry through to SAT and handover to Service.
- Working with the Specialist Engineers and Product Specialists to ensure the Designs are aligned with best practice and customer expectations.
- Assess and guide where necessary corrective action plans to ensure fit for purpose delivery is possible within cost and delivery constraints.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide clear resource requirements f or projects, including necessary skill set and aid with interviewing f or your projects in your portfolio.
- Work in constantly improve the business processes are optimised in the delivery of mechanical design to deliver best results f or Mpac and our customers.
- Ensure documentation is checked and fit for purpose, any improvements are fed to the Mechanical & Electrical Quality leads.
- Ensure any design resource f or build, commissioning, FAT, SAT, and Service are planned and provided to the Engineering Delivery and Service Dept.
- Provide scope for improvement projects to improve delivery efficiency and Quality improvements.
- Provide planning and liaison with outside contractors required for project delivery.
- Assist in planning meetings with the Mpac management team to ensure timely delivery.
- Develop your team with Personal Development plans and Appraisals aligned to the goals of the Engineering Department.
- Check design documentation is completed correctly and available f or all project releases, ensuring quality, suitability and correctness and aligned to the specific project requirements.
