Tide Recruitment are partnering with an employee centric children’s charity, who are looking for an experienced Head of Finance to cover a period for maternity leave. This charity are looking for a highly capable Head of Finance to help work towards thecharities strategic plan.

As the Head of Finance, your job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Establishing a budget and reforecast,assisting teams with predicting income and expenditure, and helping them make sound financial decisions
- Providing internal quarterly reports for Trustees, includingmanagement accounting information
- Facilitating the preparation of the year end accounts and managing a relationships with external stakeholders and working closely with the wider team to ensure this is done in a timely manner.
- Attending regular finance and trustee meetings to report on finances of the charity
- Overseeing payroll and accurate leaving using the HR system
- Ensure that the charity's culture is promoted and embedded in the organization's culture on an ongoing basis
- Ensuring payroll is submitted in a timely manner
- Ensuring clarity over salary progression, developing a clear and transparent pay structure
- Ensuring retention and effectiveness of our well-being programme, support the design and delivery of staff appraisal processes
- Staying alert to any changes in financial regulations and legalisations
- Making sure our commitment to diversity and equality is embedded throughout recruitment processes across the charity
- Maintaining accurate budgets and reporting for grant funding, including tracking restricted funds
- Managing the charities internal bookkeeping, payment, and accounting processes, and making continuous improvements to them

Head of Finance Job Criteria
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent) is desirable
- Previous experience working in senior management position in finance
- Effective communicator
- Ability to lead and develop a team
- Experience working within the charity sector or strong knowledge of SORP would be highly advantageous (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent project management
- Strong written and verbal skills
