**Health and Safety Officer**:
**Grade 6 (£28,762 - £34,308) or Grade 7 (£35,333 - £42,155) depending on experience.**

A development plan (work plan) for Grade 6 appointments will be in place and opportunity through the promotion process for progression to Grade 7.

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner in line with Wellbeing, Safety and Health arrangements. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and non-bureaucratic individual to support the delivery of the health and safety management system as a member of the diverse Wellbeing, Safety and Health Service. This full-time post is appointed at a Service level and will be based on campus within the Faculties of Engineering & Physical Sciences and Environment.

You will initially be allocated your own portfolio of work activities across a range of Schools within the Faculties of Engineering & Physical Sciences and Environment, reporting to either the Health and Safety Manager or Senior Health and Safety Manager. The role could require you to undertake inspections of research and teaching laboratories, delivery of face-to-face training to Faculty Staff and Postgraduate Students, attendance at School meetings, and helping someone with their risk assessments. You need to be able to work collaboratively with a range of academic and professional services colleagues.
