**Rigging Supervisor**

**Location**: Greenford (London) Base

**Salary**: Competitive

The role will be located at the Greenford Outside Broadcast base but will involve travel across the UK and Europe. You will be required to rig and supervise all on site cable requirements across the company's outside broadcasting division & transportingOB trucks between locations.

**Main Duties**
- Driving all company vehicles including HGV trucks loaded with equipment and assets essential to broadcasts
- Supervise and lead the team rigging cables and equipment on OB sites across the UK and Europe, with subsequent de-rigging after the event
- Assist with the rostering and crewing of staff and freelance riggers across all operations.
- Potential to assist technical operators on events
- Maintenance of the garage and warehouse areas
- Assisting / Directing the warehouse staff with preparation and loading of cable on tender vehicles

The above is just a brief outline of duties, however this can change due to business requirements. You may be given additional projects and workloads from the management, and you will be expected to comply with all reasonable requests.

**Leadership Behaviours**
- Ability to lead a rigging team on any size of outside broadcast event.
- Direct the rigging team to be able to respond to all needs of the production/engineering team
- Assist in Planning and crewing upcoming jobs.
- This is a client facing role and the successful applicant must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills at all times, representing the company to a very high standard
- Demonstrate a 'can do’ attitude as requirements can frequently change in an OB environment

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- Proven experience in TV Outside Broadcast Rigger Driver Operations across a range of genres
- Able to work in conjunction with colleagues, to review the forward work projections and establish future staff requirements, workloads and priorities
- A Full Clean HGV Class 1 License
- Ability to work in an active environment with loading, lifting and physically intensive work as a regular occurrence
- Willing to work within all Timeline policies, working practices and Health and Safety guidelines and follow any applicable legislation, and customer working practices
- Proven ability in managing difficult and conflicting staff requirements and personalities, showing good communication and influencing skills
- Self-motivated and able to establish effective working relationships with other members of the company and production team
- Shows a professional and flexible approach to the job and adapts to last minute changes to the operational requirements of the company and their clients
- Due the unpredictable nature of incoming work there is a need for the job holder to be contactable and available at short notice on off duty days
- Has a moderate level of computer literacy to be able to work within the computer systems in place

**Health & Safety Responsibilities**
- To undertake all duties and activities in accordance with current Timeline Health and Safety Guidance
- Good basic knowledge of Electricity at Work & Working at Height safety regulations
- Knowledge of road transport legislation, HGV laws and restrictions

**Competencies**
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of all outside broadcast cabling requirements in use at the company and other OB companies
- In Depth knowledge of trucks, loading restrictions, weight restrictions and any other transportation requirements needed to ensure a smooth HGV operation
- Knowledge of HGV maintenance schedules and requirements

**Professional Experience**:
Experience in a responsible operational rigging role in TV Outside Broadcasting.

This is a shift based role including long hours, weekends and bank holidays
