**Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Examinations Assistant to work within our high performing Academy. This is a casual role, working as and when required and during Summer break. You will be experienced in Examinations matters and be able to manage your workload effectively to be able to deliver high quality service.

Harris City Academy Crystal Palace is a mixed Academy for 1,300 students aged 11-18, with a large sixth form of nearly 400 students.

**Main Areas of Responsibility**
To carry out day-to-day duties within the Exams Office, responsibilities include:

- Being the designated second person for exams, as per the Academy’s Exam Contingency Plan
- Responding to requests for certificates from current and past students. To assist in organising internal certificate collection days for students.
- Assisting with exams administration, including preparing exam timetables, exam folders, seating plans, photocopying and other requirements for internal and external exams.
- Assisting with setting up and breaking down of exam rooms, helping with invigilation as required.
- Liaising with the SENCO, to produce spreadsheets of staff facilitating access arrangements for students with AA needs.
- Producing an annual calendar of internal and external exam dates.
- Assisting with distributing and maintaining a register of exam rules and regulations given to students. Issuing other exam information to students.
- Producing exam name cards for students each academic year.
- Assisting in the preparation and administration of student results days. Assisting with Enquiries of Results and Appeals for external exams.
- Assisting in the examination entries and amendment process for external exams
- Receiving and logging external examination materials. Assisting in preparing exam scripts for despatch to awarding organisations.
- Participating in annual invigilation training
- Undertaking other administrative tasks (photocopying, filing, ordering exam stationery, etc)

**Qualifications & Experience**
We would like to hear from you if you have:

- Knowledge of MIS system for input and export of student data
- Basic training in child protection and safeguarding procedures
- Knowledge of many of the social issues facing students from disadvantaged backgrounds
- Experience of working in an inner city school or educational establishment
- Experience in a similar role
- Experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour
