**STEM Recruitment Solutions** have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced warehouse supervisor with one of our very well established clients based in Grangemouth.

The warehouse supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products within our warehouse, supporting the manufacturing process. This role will lead the team by example to maintain a smooth flow of materials ensuring the safety and efficiency of warehouse operations.

This role is expected to be very hands on and involved in all warehouse activities, such as driving the machinery, tipping, and ensuring the area is kept clean and safe.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Team Leadership: Supervise, lead, and coach a team of raw material intake personnel, providing clear direction, guidance, training, setting performance expectations and ensuring adherence to companies policies and procedures.

Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and addressing personnel issues as needed.

Goods Receiving: Oversee the receipt, inspection, and verification of incoming materials to ensure they meet quality standards and quantity requirements.

Collaborate with the procurement team to resolve discrepancies in deliveries.

Maintain accurate records of raw materials receipts, inspections, and any discrepancies or non-conformities identified during the intake process.

Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records using specialized inventory management software, and conduct regular physical counts.

Monitor stock levels and initiate reordering processes as needed to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.

Material Flow: Coordinate with the production department to ensure the timely delivery of materials to the production lines, minimizing production downtime.

Efficiently manage the allocation and distribution of materials within the warehouse.

Safety and Compliance: Implement and enforce safety procedures, ensuring all employees adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.

Conduct regular safety audits and address any safety concerns promptly.

Warehouse Layout and Optimization: Organize the warehouse layout to optimize space utilization and material accessibility.

Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to raw material intake processes.

Regularly review and update the standard operating procedures (SOPS) for raw material intake to reflect best practices and ensure compliance with evolving requirements.

Communication and Reporting: Maintain effective communication with other departments and external suppliers to address issues, streamline processes, and ensure smooth operations.

Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations.

Training and Development: Provide training to new employees and ongoing development for the warehouse team to enhance their skills and efficiency.

**Qualifications**:
Qualifying experience through alternative avenues and/or bachelor's degree in logistics, warehousing, or a related field.

Proven experience in warehouse or logistics management, with a focus on manufacturing environments.

Strong leadership and supervisory skills, capable of motivating and managing a diverse team.

Proficiency in inventory management software and relevant software tools.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety procedures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.

Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand manufacturing environment.

Forklift certification is a plus.

**Shift pattern**:
1 week day shift 6am - 2pm and 1 week back shift 12pm - 8pm. working every 2nd Saturday.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
