The SEN Learning Support Assistant opportunity in Redbridge, is focused on raising attainment with children in a mainstream primary school. You will be working 1:1 with children who have Special Education Needs. This is a good grounding for advocacy in general,giving you experience of the social situations and contexts that young, vulnerable children are going through, while looking to complete their education.

The school offers a restorative, therapeutic approaches to education and behaviour management. They want their children engaged in key and personal skills, giving the children skills they can use in and out of school.

As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will be working 1:1 with a young boy with autism who needs help staying on task and completing his learning objectives. This is one of the most important parts of the role, building your relationships and findingwhat works for your relationship and finding what works for your student and class teacher is imperative.

If you are sincere about a career within criminal, youth justice or social work, the SEN Learning Support Assistant role will give you outstanding experience in very challenging, social environments for young children who have SEN and are vulnerable.
- What is involved?_
- Providing assistance and supervision for students before, during and after lessons

*Raising the student's attainment and social confidence at a critical time in his education

- Assisting with note taking and supporting literacy and numeracy
