Technologist

**Technologist Job Christchurch or Remote**

Dovetail Recruitment are pleased to be working with a long standing client who are currently recruiting for a new Personal Care Technologist to join their personal care team. The Personal Care Technologist will be learning from some of the best within a current and secure industry.

You will be assisting a diverse team in across a variety of duties including product benchmarking, specifications and innovation. You will progress to look after your own range of products in time. This role is within the health and beauty/ personal care industry.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Working with technical teams in UK and Asia to ensure all technical aspects of a project are completed, for example safety assurance, product performance testing, regulatory compliance, and legal checks etc.
- Coordinating with the quality team to prepare the product specifications and drafting quality contracts. Ensuring awareness by customers and manufacturing suppliers for the required quality assurance.
- Check product artwork, packaging and labelling for compliance with relevant regional legislation.
- Work closely with the internal product and commercial teams to ensure all technical requirements are applied during the NPD process and new launches.
- Travel to various locations attending factory initial visits, development trials, pre-production and product launches.
- Attend conferences, exhibitions and trade shows to keep on top of innovations and opportunities with new materials, production techniques or products.
- Prioritise and champion the company policies on Sustainability, Innovation and Ethical manufacturing.

**Knowledge & Experience**
- Ideally experience in the personal care, or health and beauty industry
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent Communication skills
- Experience of a customer facing role is preferred
