**ROLE: Junior Buyer - Engineering**

**LOCATION: Clitheroe**
**future relocation to Altham/Darwen area in 12/18 months**

**SALARY: Circa £30’000 to 35’000 plus 4k bonus dependent on experience**

Growing as a global manufacturer, this business has established a reputation for quality and reliability within the dry food and dry chemical industries both UK and overseas.

We are currently searching for a Junior Buyer specialising in Engineering products and parts to support the customer experience purchasing items to aid new designs, new builds and repairs.

Someone who loves their job and is proud of the results they can and will deliver. Collaborating closely with customers is key, communicating with them throughout the design and testing processes.

**Junior Buyer - Engineering - Key skills**:

- Hands on approach to your work is absolutely key.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Problem Solve.
- Positive work ethic.
- Mechanical Design Engineering Degree or similar is advantageous.
- Keen understanding and interest in mechanical engineering for the Food/ confectionery / pharmaceutical /Paint/Bakery or Building industries.
- 1 year industry experience as a Junior Buyer in Engineering is ideal.
- Ability to balance many tasks at the same time. Time management is key.
- Attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and manner.
- Excellent communicator to develop and build customer relationship.
- Positive attitude working as a team and supporting colleagues.

**Junior Buyer - Engineering - Role**:

- Develop and improve the purchasing activities for the business. Making sure availability and continuity of products at the best possible price. Strong negotiation and organisation is key.
- Cross Functionally support teams with estimating for products.
- Cost reporting. Identifying trends.
- Source prospective suppliers and build strong relationships with current suppliers.
- Work to production schedules.
- Manage efficient stock levels.
