Roofer

Responsibilities:

- Install, repair, or replace flat or pitched roofs
- Measure and cut materials to fit specific dimensions
- Use hand tools to shape, trim, and smooth roofing materials
- Ensure roofs are watertight by sealing seams with waterproofing materials
- Work with carpenters to construct roof structures
- Carry out heavy lifting tasks as required
- Perform masonry work when needed
- Fabricate and install sheet metal components
- Interpret schematics and blueprints to determine project specifications
- Utilise power tools such as drills and saws effectively
- Weld metal parts together when necessary

Skills:

- Proficient in various roofing techniques and materials
- Competent in using hand tools for roofing tasks
- Ability to plumb surfaces accurately
- Skilful carpentry skills for roof construction and repair
- Capable of heavy lifting during roofing projects
- Knowledge of masonry work for integrated projects
- Experience in fabricating sheet metal components for roofs
- Understanding schematics and blueprints for project execution
- Proficiency in operating power tools safely and efficiently
- Welding skills for metal roof components

Must have driver’s license

Pay: £15.00-£26.99 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Roofing: 6 years (preferred)
