**Maintenance Engineer**

**Manchester**

**£35,000 - £45,000**
We have recently acquired a vacant position in our maintenance team looking to fill the position with a highly qualified engineer who is ready to strive to increase our vastly growing company.

**Job Purpose**

To ensure the safe and uninterrupted running of all plant, equipment, and services both productive and non-productive, using both planned and breakdown maintenance.

**Key Accountabilities**

- Provide Mechanical maintenance support.
- Prioritize maintenance needs in accordance with company requirements.
- Many site-wide breakdowns, upgrades, fixes, and planned maintenance.
- Ensuring that necessary routine machine maintenance is performed.
- Available as needed for callout assistance or after-hours advice.
- Collaborate with outside contractors on both proactive and reactive tasks.
- Execute press tooling adjustments as requested.
- Observe health and safety regulations and make sure that procedures are devised and maintained.
- Work in a way that is safe for both themselves and their co-workers.
- Adhere with all applicable H&S regulations and procedures, and set an example to colleagues by doing so in the workplace.
- Assist in resolving any problems that arise.
- Inform the site service, technical, and departmental heads of any problems through the proper channels, if applicable.
- Assist in the growth of current apprentices and any upcoming hires.
**What you'll need**

- Experience
- Minimum ONC in Mechanical Plant Engineering
- Plant Knowledge
- Mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
- Key Skills
- Effective delegation skills.
- Able to inspire others and identify growth possibilities for team members.
- Be able to actively recognise and resolves conflict.
- Computer Skills
- Basic Knowledge of Excel, able to understand spreadsheets.
- Able to learn and use maintenance management software and SharePoint and comprehend their limitations and workings.
- Good understand of Office 365 software such as Word and PowerPoint.
