About the role
It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 8 guaranteed hours each week, we have opportunities and would love to hear from you.
The table shows the periods of time in the week we’d like you to be available to work - the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you’ll have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility for our colleagues, therefore if the times you’re available to work match closely but not exactly to the times we are advertising, we’d still love to hear from you. You will be responsible for
- Working in the kitchen team inside your local Tesco Cafe
- Making great quality food that is ‘picture perfect’ every time
- Prep in advance to get our dishes out in 10 minutes or less
- Making our own food in the cafe, like yummy muffins, scones & toasties
- React quickly to online guest feedback
- Reports to the Team Leader
You will need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Some work exp.as Kitchen Crew, Cook, Chef de Partie, Assistant, etc.
- Takes pride in delivering good looking, tasty dishes every time
- Work experience cafes, fast food, pubs, etc
- Some work with specs & brand standards in a commercial kitchen
- Level 2 in Health & Safety and Food Hygiene is a bonus
