**Short Description/ Purpose of Job**
To provide investment and decision analysis support to Management on new gas opportunities and currently held assets. The role provides investment analyst guidance and expertise to the relevant stakeholders (Asset managers/Project teams) to support business initiatives to achieve financial objectives.
This is achieved by and will include, but is not limited to:
- The development of economic models (primarily excel based)
- Multivariable, multi scenario output, highlighting key value drivers/levers and risks
- Supporting best practices for upstream investment analysis
- Developing expertise in upstream modelling methodologies
- Interface with downstream economic counterparts to provide integrated economics
- Statutory/Financial reporting deliverables including
- Group Rolling Capital Plan
- Impairment evaluations
- Reserves reporting
- Delivery of robust economic data to support key commercial negotiations and mandates
**Recruitment Description/ Key Accountabilities**
- Responsible for upstream asset and project economics
- Responsible for CREST economics
- Maintain assumptions register for all investment cases
- Provide input into broader investment analysis
**Formal Education**
- Minimum Bachelors degree in finance/investment or Bachelors in Engineering complemented with financial modelling certification/degree
- MBA or other investment related post grad preferred in addition to minimum.
