**About the team**

With more than 320 years of heritage across our family brands, the Retail Bank at Lloyds Banking Group serves and supports the evolving needs of people across the UK with a broad range of financial services including current accounts, mortgages, savings,credit cards, motor finance and personal loans. Retail Finance & Data Management (RFDM) provides decision support, reporting and performance management to these Retail businesses, alongside unified data management & development services for the whole of the Finance function. Within the RFDM family, wein Analysis & Insight are a team of around 100 finance colleagues providing the analytical and planning capability that supports all Retail businesses, from income-generating products to the full cost base (branches, customer services and a host of other areas).

The bank is just embarking on a new and exciting growth strategy, and Analysis & Insight is due to play a meaningful role in analysing, articulating and challenging business plans over their lifecycle from idea through to implementation. To do that we needto expand our team, and to find a pipeline of analytical finance people to be part of our journey. **What you'll be doing**

You'll join a specialist team that covers one of the Retail products, and will gain a deep understanding of that product, its business, its people, and its processes. The products we aim to support through the scheme are Mortgages, Cards & Loans, Motor,Savings and Personal Current Accounts. You could be developing business plans and forecasts, undertaking deep dives into performance issues, influencing commercial pricing decisions, or answering other ad hoc questions. You'll interact directly with and influencebusiness partners, and often colleagues in the business.

You'll have high degree of numeracy, analytical skills, and an understanding of financials. You may not have a formal financial qualification, but you will need finance experience.

The team is based in a number of UK hubs, and we're used to working in multi-location teams. As such choice of hub really doesn't matter to us - we want to recruit the best people and don't want location to be a limiting factor. We have a hybrid workingstyle, and you'll find us in the office around two days a week.

The Analysis and Insight team comprises around 100 finance colleagues providing the analytical and planning capability supporting all areas of Retail. This covers the income generating products of Savings, Mortgages, Current Accounts, Motor, Cards and Loans.It also includes the full cost base incorporating the branches, customer services and a host of other diverse areas.

The team is based in a number of sites across the UK, and we're passionate about deploying innovative ways of working. As such location really doesn't matter to us - we want to recruit the best people and don't want location to be a limiting factor.

We have an active rotation policy giving colleagues the prospect to move around within theteam learning new skills and bringing new thinking to the team they join.

The objective of the role is to create analysis and insight that builds our understanding of the business to enable better decision making.

Central to the role is identifying business problems or performance (monthend) anomalies; sourcing relevant data, modelling meaningful information; then drawing insights to provide recommendations and options.

Planning also forms a key part of the role - this is multifaceted, ranging from annual financial planning to rolling monthly forecasts; benefits planning linked to investment spend; and sales planning.

**You'll need to have**

Being able to take ownership and working collaboratively are capabilities that we value highly as are commerciality and effective communication skills.

It will come as no surprise that to join the Analysis and Insight team it is essential to have a high degree of numeracy, analytical skills, and an understanding of financials. It's not always necessary to have financial qualifications, but it is necessaryto have some finance experience.

And whilst having some relevant knowledge might be an advantage; it's not critical and our development culture will support you to build newly required knowledge as quickly as possible.
