Support the roll out of targeted work with young people around smoking and primarily alcohol use. This role will help develop and roll out smoking cessation and alcohol education and interventions to young people In Trafford, you will offer assessment, interventions and signposting. The work will be offered on an individual and group basis. This will be offered utilising Early Break statements of practice and developing the interventions for this.

**Key Deliverables**

1. Support the development for the smoking cessation offer to young people

2. Deliver smoking cessation to young people in Trafford across a range of locations.

3. Offer screening and assessment and brief interventions to young substance users and deliver the appropriate interventions

4. Provide sign posting and service information to support onward referrals

5. Contribute to the ongoing development of the Early Break service’s resources focussed to smoking, vaping and alcohol themes

6. Support and encourage people to take on board safety messages as regards risk taking behaviour

7. Adhere to Early Break’s policies on Safeguarding of children and adults including identification and referral, as well as participating in any subsequent action in relation to these

8. Maintain and update levels of knowledge and understanding of issues relevant to young people through reading, eLearning and training offered by Early Break and other agencies, as opportunities arise

9. Ensure all necessary administration/sessional recordings are complete, including maintenance of service database

10. Develop training and knowledge across the wider workforce focussed to alcohol and smoking.

11. Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of the work of the role and the service

12. Implement Service Health and Safety Policy/Service Guidelines including risk assessments

13. Attend relevant internal meetings supportive to the role

14. Engage in professional development opportunities and training as required/appropriate

15. Have an understanding of GDPR and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

16. Adhering to all relevant policies and practice relevant to the role.
