At BE Event Hire - we hire out and sell furniture to the Event Industry

We are looking for Warehouse Assistants/ Van drivers.

**Job Types**: Full-time

**Benefits**:

- The hours are 40 hours per week plus available overtime from mid/ end of May **until the end of October 2024**:

- Salary £12.00 p/h
- It is time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours on weekdays.
- Additional half time on top of that rate, so it’s possible to earn £18 for over 40 hours in the week or £24.00 an hour at weekends
- Throughout a normal season there is usually a good amount of overtime to be worked.
- Under 21 years old the pay is dependent on age, any driving licences and experience
- **Great experience for University Students on summer holidays**

**Role Responsibilities**:

- The role is a hybrid between helping in the warehouse and possibly van driving - it mainly includes preparing items of furniture for hire.
- We have openings for non drivers as warehouse assistants and drivers mates as long as you can get to / from work.
- Cleaning/ sorting / loading vans and lorries by hand and by forklift.
- Delivering and collecting the furniture, offloading and setting it up on site
- Sometimes you will work independently, sometimes you will work in a team in our yard or at a venue such as the ExCel / NEC or a music festival or delivering to a house or venue
- We have weekend work, so whilst core hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday, if the business requires it you will need to work some hours during evenings and some weekends.
- There will be also be wrapping of parcels to send out by DHL / the pallet network that have been sold.
- We also have a woodshed where we repair and make furniture, so wood working skills are a bonus.

**Role Requirements**:

- Good attention to detail,
- **The ability to count accurately,**:

- A high degree of customer and product care
- A very flexible attitude and willingness to help and learn a variety of skills.
- The role is physically active - moving furniture - so a good level of fitness and self motivation is needed.
- **Under 21 years old the pay is dependent on age, any driving licences and experience**:

- **Students looking for holiday jobs are paid on age and experience**.
