**M&E Works Coordinator**

Position Overview

**Responsibilities**:

- To undertake scopes of works for Electrical and Mechanical projects including: Small works, lump sum contracts, lifecycle work (forward maintenance programme)
- To project manage/oversee designated M&E projects as required, ensuring that all projects/ works are undertaken according to agreed programmes and in accordance with both company and statutory H&S requirements
- Preparation of subcontract documentation for works & specialist services in accordance with the Company's standard processes for procurement and Health & Safety
- To act as a technical focal point for M&E issues affecting the built estate, specifically the following systems: BMS, Fire alarms, IDS (Intruder detection systems), HVAC, CCTV, UPS, MTHW lifts and lifting equipment
- To liaise and interface with the wider client and end user community in relation to M&E related projects, issues and activity. Holding meetings, briefing sessions as appropriate
- Responsible for ensuring that specific key ‘Estate Services' deliverables within the Armada schedule of requirements are delivered in accordance with the contract KPI's (Key performance Indicators)
- Undertaking of regular quality site checks reporting on work progression, workmanship and service delivery standards to a set and agreed programme
- To ensure that all business process documentation/job files are up-to-date and accurate
- To undertake regular site/project based QSHE (Quality, Safety, Health & Environment) inspections and undertake these in accordance with the Interserve ‘Site working File' requirements
- To attend and to play a role in regular management team meetings, providing updates and technical guidance for areas under your control
- Work within the existing organisation ensuring estate issues are communicated and shared amongst the management team
- To ensure that all works under your control and managed and lead in accordance with good industry practice and Interserve procedures and policies

What we are looking for
- Minimum ONC in an engineering FM related discipline
- At least 5 years practical experience of delivery of services within a ‘Hard FM' environment
- Experience and knowledge of the following building services : Fire alarms, BMS (Building Management Systems), security and CCTV systems, HVAC, UPS, MTHW
- IOSH Managing Safety (or equivalent)
- Experience in the preparation of specifications for facilities works and some knowledge of conditions of contract
- Project management experience of small works, jobbing, and lump sum contracts
- Experience of working and managing works in accordance with CDM requirements

Desirable but not Essential:

- Previous experience of working with the MOD, NHS or local authority facilities management environment
- Experience of working with MoD JSP or NHS HTM standards and requirements
- Authorised Person (AP for either electrical or mechanical discipline)
- Autocad experience

Personal Attributes:

- Must be an effective and principled communicator, able to develop and present well - reasoned arguments and be prepared to support these effectively
- Should be able to offer creative and practical solutions, be forward thinking and perceptive and be alive to real time needs and issues
- Medically fit to undertake the duties
- Possess a demonstrable awareness of Customer Care, Quality Assurance, Health and Safety, and Building Services, and will demonstrate an ability to work to tight budgets and programmes
- Willing to undertake AP roles and duties if required
- Willing to attend site out of hours if required to attend to emergencies/ incidents
- Must possess good interpersonal skills, orally and written, to communicated across all levels
- Must be confident in one's own judgement and possess the stature and personal qualities necessary to establish rapid credibility at all levels in the internal client population, with the tenacity to work resolutely in pursuit of objectives
