Storeman

Our global client who is a supplier of mechanical, hydrodynamic, electrical, hydraulic and electronic drive and braking systems is looking for a Storeman on a permanent contract to be based at their Croydon workshop.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To ensure goods are correctly booked in on the computer system, correctly packaged and despatched according to specified procedures and standards
- Booking goods in/out for despatch or workshop use
- Picking parts in accordance with the picking list
- Prepare goods for despatch, ensuring they are suitably packed
- Maintenance of bin location and other information
- Identifying shortages and informing purchasing/production control
- Checking paperwork for accuracy
- Data entry of stores transactions on computer system for Cycle counting of parts
- Loading/unloading trucks with incoming/outgoing goods using a forklift truck
- Ensure the general tidiness of workplace and quality and health and safety standards are maintained at all times
- To perform other duties as assigned from time to time

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Current forklift licence essential for Counterbalance and Aisle Master
- Experience of computer stock systems and data entry
- Ability to work accurately and independently
- Previous relevant logistics experience desirable

New Employees must pass a Drugs and Alcohol related Medical upon starting with the Company.

**BENEFITS PACKAGE**:

- 5 working week; 07:00 - 15:00 Mon - Thurs and Fri 07:00 - 13:30
- £24,000 - £28,000 (dependent on experience)
