This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of enthusiastic ambassadors in coordinating the activity that will lead to the implementation of a Restorative Just and Learning Culture in South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Restorative Just & Learning Culture Objectives
- Moving from a blame and retributive culture to creating an inclusive, learning and restorative culture.
- Helping to ensure that South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is considered to be a Great Place to Work
- Reducing hurt in our workforce & creating a psychologically safe environment for all
- Creating an engaged workforce that leads to a high quality patient experience.

Successful improvements will contribute to the achievement of four goals:

- MoralEngagement
- stakeholders focused what is the right thing to do when we’ve hurt someone or something through some adverse event
- Emotional Healing -An event may not just include physical hurt. Patients, caregivers, family members, colleagues, teams, departments and more may have psychological or emotional hurt.
- Practitioner Reintegration -Practitioners should receive the right care to enable them to get back to what they were doing where possible; feeling confident and able to give care and create care giving relationships.
- Organisational Learning -increasing resilience by having a greater insight into the systemic issues that create difficulties and addressing these to improve both patient safety and staff engagement.

The post holder will work alongside workstream leads to;
- Ensure policies and procedures are scheduled for review and are in place to support affirmation of Just Culture
- Ensure a training programme is designed and accessible to management and other key stakeholders
- Ensure engagement activities are promoted with key stakeholders and across the workforce
- Coordinate activities and engagement associated with patient experience
- Support the raising of awareness of a Restorative Just and Learning Culture through the delivery of awareness training across the Trust

**The key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Project management.
- Coordination and delivery of governance arrangements.
- Coordination of the Operational Group and key stakeholders.
- Monitor and coordinate any programme budget and resources.
- Promotion and facilitation of the engagement strategy.
- Deliver awareness training.
- Support and inform the targeting of resources, monitoring, implementation and evaluation of the tasks/projects by providing high quality support including information and analysis, communications, and staff engagement.

Leadership and Improvement Training

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills.
