Pertemps Exeter are looking for a Class 2 driver on behalf of a client based on the Hill Barton Industrial Estate. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity for the right person.
Your working hours will usually be 8am - 4:40pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-3:30 on Fridays. There may be a few instances where deliveries need to be made earlier in which you will either finish earlier or be paid overtime.
The company do not work weekends or bank holidays and are closed during the Christmas break.
Payrate for this role is £12.75ph.
A good knowledge of the local area would be advantageous to this role.
As a class 2 driver you will be responsible for:
Delivery & Collection of equipment to and from customer sites & other branches.
Ensure that all deliveries and returns have accompanying paperwork.
Ensure that loading / unloading instructions are carried out safely in line with the Company's Health and Safety Policy.
Ensure that Risk Assessments, safe systems of work are fully complied with.
Ensure that personal Protective equipment is always worn when working in the yard or on site.
Ensure that tachograph charts are completed accurately and submitted on time, that daily checks are carried out and any defects reported to the Foreman/Manager (or designated member of staff) and the vehicle is always kept in a tidy condition.
Where driver isn't required to drive or is on a Period of Availability (POA) for any length of time general operations duties will need to be carried out as required.
These will include:
Assisting Yard operatives with the assembly of outgoing loads.
Assisting Yard Operatives with the counting in of returned loads.
Carry out any reasonable requests made by the Foreman / Manager (or designated member of staff).
