Children's Advocate

I Choose Freedom have three refuges across Surrey. We provide support and accommodation to women and children who have left their homes due to Domestic Abuse.

We are expanding and are seeking to recruit for the following post:
**PART-TIME - CHILDREN’S ADVOCATE**

**Permanent contract**

**Monday - Friday, 30 hours**

**Role is based at our refuge on the border of Hampshire/Surrey**

**Salary: £19,000 - £21,000**

**Start date ASAP.**

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of women and children fleeing domestic abuse. The successful applicant will work with children and their mothers from the first point of contact, throughout the families stay in refuge. At I Choose Freedom all support and advocacy we offer is based on the individual needs of each child. A varied role that requires a strong advocate, someone who will stand up for the children she supports.

We recognise that experience in these roles will be rare however a qualification in childcare is desirable. We are looking for organised, adaptable and empathetic traits that can be evidenced through previous employment.
