**The opportunity**:
We are looking for a strong reliable delivery driver who is concerned with customer service and transporting items in a safe, timely manner.

The delivery driver will pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. You should be willing to work as part of the delivery team in order to ensure that the items are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct location.

You will act as an ambassador of The Nunhead Gardener when delivering directly to customers and will be expected to maintain a high standard of appearance and act in a courteous and helpful manner at all times. When not required for deliveries, you will be required to assist the store and warehouse teams.

‪Working hours may include weekends and Bank Holidays as required.

We will consider full time or part time applicants.

**Responsibilities**:

- Packing, loading and unloading delivery van
- Delivery weekly stock replenishments from warehouse to stores
- Delivering stock transfers between stores
- Delivering parcels and goods to customers
- Maintaining regular communication with Warehouse Supervisor
- Review deliveries with recipients to ensure they’re accurate
- Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
- Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
- Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Ensure that the delivery Van is kept clean and tidy
- Assisting warehouse team with processing stock orders which have been received
- Assisting store teams with the processing of stock deliveries received from external suppliers
- When required to work in stores, assisting customers

**Experience, Skills and Traits required**:

- Good timekeeping skills
- Good eyesight and hearing
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items for extended periods.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work with little supervision
- A clean Full UK driving licence
- Minimum of four years driving experience
- Be confident, friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic
- You will be passionate about delivering exceptional levels of customer service
- You will be flexible in your approach and open to trying new things
- You will be honest, open and operate with integrity
