**This is the job**:
The Head of Digital Quality Assurance will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, on and offshore teams as well as line managing your own skilled team.

**What will I be doing?**:

- Defines, owns, and delivers the Digital Quality Assurance Strategy, working with the IT Head of QA and Test, playing an active role in the Testing Centre of Excellence.
- Ensure governance and best practice is followed with defined testing standards
- Work closely with all stakeholders and internal teams to understand the business requirements and drive the increased automation of all quality gates whilst ensuring testing is completed within set timeframes
- Identify and continuously look for improvements for future Quality Assurance tooling and strategies and owns POC delivery for new tools
- Ensure all test user accounts, test data and test environments are readily available
- Own document control evidencing UAT results and analysis including functionality and risks, with ability to present findings to all relevant stakeholders
- Lead by example as a manager by coaching and mentoring the team; including identifying development opportunities as well as recruiting new team members alongside our Talent Acquisition team

**What do I need?**:
**Capability, Knowledge and Experience**:

- Extensive hands-on experience within Quality Assurance, software testing or UAT within an IT environment (preferably Agile or TDD)
- Experience of utilising automation testing tools and technologies
- Skilled with frontend technologies across both Web and Mobile
- Proficient user of Atlassian toolset i.e., Git, Bitbucket etc.
- Prior experience of development and test challenges with multiple browser and mobile development technologies
- Experience of either direct line managing, coaching, mentoring or leading QA teams (either onshore or offshore)
- Knowledge and experience of Security Testing Standards and tooling
