**Job description**

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Truck and Trailer Technician to join our team. You will be working in our workshop, roadside or on customers site - working well in a team is a must.

**Hourly rate of pay is negotiable dependent on experience.**

**Main role responsibilities**
- Maintenance and repair of all truck and trailers - our own fleet and customers truck and trailers
- Diagnosing vehicle defects
- Comprehensive completion of all documentation including worksheets.
- Vehicle breakdown and roadside repairs as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment

**Role requirements**
- Excellent knowledge of trucks and trailers and able to fault find and repair.
- Able to work under own initiative and solve all problem aspects an advantage.
- Fault finding and use of diagnostic equipment.
- Carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance to both new and used trucks & trailers.
- MOT preparation on own vehicles
- Full Driving License is required. Not essential but ideally you will have a class 2 driving license.
- Proven experience as a mechanic or qualifications
- Attending to defects from drivers
- 5 days a week (alternate weekends required) - required to work on call through the evenings on a rota basis.

You will be issued with a fully kitted vehicle (just add tools), given training if necessary, pension and uniform.
