**Job Description**:
To organise, supervise and monitor team performance using the means available to support the day to day running of the warehousing operations and associated areas.

To oversee all physical aspects of the picking operation are met and achieved in conjunction with the warehouse management team.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- To ensure operatives load / unload product in line with Company Procedures and instructions.
- To ensure Warehouse Operatives load and despatch products with the correct documentation
- Reporting any trailer or MHE faults in line with company documentation and ensuring VOR vehicles are placed in the designated areas.
- To remain vigilant in ensuring goods are picked correctly and assembled accurately as per instructions.
- To ensure despatched loads are in a secure state before leaving the loading docks
- To work to the standard required to meet the Company's productivity target and to offer guidance, support and training to individuals who require it to enable them to meet that standard.
- Ensure all practices and procedures are carried out in line with Company Health & Safety policy and HACCP.
- Carry out weekly safety tour and report using the appropriate form/process.
- To collate any KPI reports as applicable for the measuring and monitoring of the shifts.
- Ensure that company standards of hygiene and housekeeping are achieved. Hold daily staff briefings to ensure that team are fully briefed on visitors, issues from the previous shift etc.
- Checking returns are received, recorded & monitored daily.
- Minimising warehouse errors by conducting pick location checks and carrying out random pick pallet checks
- Maximising staff productivity through effective motivation of team and updating team on their performance against KPI.
- To assist stock control if and when required
- To ensure MHE control & Fire register is filled in correctly each day.
- Ensuring team are working within the break time parameters and reporting any absence or unauthorised breaks.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience of operational management in FMCG industry
- Experience of managing people
- FLT Licence
- Supervisory / team leader experience within a warehouse environment
- Customer service experience
- Operational methods and procedures relating to the logistics industry is desirable
- Knowledge of the local commercial marketplace is desirable
- Thoroughness / attention to detail
- Customer understanding
- Flexibility in thinking and approach
