DegreeSix is a specialist recruitment agency, we are looking for experienced support workers to work alongside Young people in a number of the top Residential Services for Young People in Surrey

The homes we support require staff who will be interactive and bring new ideas to the home to support the young people. You will be working alongside an established team and ensuring a smooth running of the service, with a variety of shift patterns such as long days, waking nights and sleeps.

As a Residential Support Worker you will be making a vital difference supporting on daily activities and exciting trips to the zoo, beach, theme parks and educational activities.

**The role includes**:

- Organising and accompanying the young people on social & educational activities and appointments
- Building strong personal and professional relationships with the young people
- Recording the activity & reporting key aspects of their care
- Promoting independence and developing their life skills
- Assisting the Young People in developing their interests and hobbies to enhance their day to day lifestyles
- Helping the Young People to plan out their education path to assist with their future and progression for clearer career options

**Requirements of the role**
- Full UK driving licence, this is not essential but an advantage
- 3+ Months of experience in a social care setting
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, this is not essential but an advantage

**In addition to unparalleled levels of job satisfaction, you will receive**:

- Flexible shifts these including long days sleeps and waking nights on a rota basis
- Ongoing training including the opportunity to complete a work-based diploma
- Hourly rates between £9.50 and £11 per hour + Sleep Overpayments (£19,000-£22,000 + s/o full-time equivalent)
- Holiday pay alongside your working hours
- Enhanced bank holiday pay (Double time in most cases)
- Once the temp hours are completed a direct transition into a full-time, permanent position with opportunities to complete the NVQ Level 3 (if desired)

**The successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service or provide Update Service subscription details.**

**Salary**: £9.50-£11.00 per hour
